Mukhyamantri Santwana Harish Yojana for accident victims' free treatment: All about it

Karnataka government has launched Mukhyamantri Santwana Harish Yojana under which accident victims will be given free medical treatment for the first 48 hours at any hospital. Named after Harish Nanjappa who had donated his eyes moments before his death, the scheme will also provide Rs. 25,000 to the accident victims.

Here is all you would want know about the scheme:

The period of 48 hours has been named the 'Golden Hours'
Under this scheme, immediate medical relief would be provided to the victims during the Golden Hour
It has also been reported that financial aid of up to Rs 25,000 during the first 48 hours of the treatment will also be provided to the victims
Financial assistance will be provided across the state irrespective of their financial status or nationality
All hospitals have also been directed not to reject accident victims
The accident victims can get medical care, for the first 48 hours, at any hospital
A software covering hospital registration, patient registration, claims submission, and packages would be installed for the proper functioning of the scheme
Emergency toll free help lines would also be set up to help the wounded
Rs 10 crore have already been sanctioned by the state government.
